We at Make It Better recognize, appreciate, and believe in the unimaginable possibilities and positive impact that human beings can have on the planet.
In 2024, we gathered at Better Together to celebrate the 100th anniversary of The Vagabonds. It was an unforgettable experience, at The Dunbar in Aspen, Colorado—a collaboration of innovators intent on shaping the world for the better.
Its success has set our Making It Better journey in motion—unfolding from the soul to the heart of humanity, to celebrate those that are making it a better world and create a space for action oriented collaboration to accelerate impactful positive change, in many, many ways.

Rooted In History
Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Harvey Firestone and John Burroughs aka The Vagabonds were each renown leaders in their own fields. From 1914 to 2024, spent quality time glamping every summer and changed our world. 100 plus years later, of the last official Vagabond road trip and still today we all feel their profound impact on the world.
During our country’s first ‘road trips’ through the countryside, the Vagabonds spent time together, engaged in numerous conversations and fostering a deep understanding and fondness for each other.
They camped together, fished together, explored on horseback, dined together, sat by the fire, dreamed under the stars, and shared many discussions together.
Together, they were better. They amplified, encouraged, strategized and supported each other’s innovations and businesses.
By spending time together, somewhat vulnerable and ready for what may come in wild, these iconic leaders of their day, became true friends. Friends make the world go round.
